Itsy Bitsy Bows is an excellent prelude to Sevcik’s 40 Variations, Op. 3. Using a familiar children’s tune, a variety of bowings can be introduced at an earlier age. Bowings include detache, colle, richochet, spiccato, dove-tail, and Viotti style. Volume 2 contains 14 variations for intermediate and advanced level students.
