Violinists and violists learn the odd positions after shifting is introduced. The even positions are often ignored. These exercises and pieces will help to fill in that gap. The book begins by using a simple melody and transposing it up through each position as it ascends. Positions two and six and four and eight are introduced together. At the end of the book, pieces involve shifting through all of these even positions.
